Vice Chair Introduction

 Hi everyone!

 My name is Amy Zhang and I'm so excited to meet you all at BMUN 72. I will be your CSC vice chair, and I can't wait to see amazing debates and dialogue on this year's topics. 

A little bit about me: I am a third-year at UC Berkeley studying Public Health and Data Science. This is my third year in BMUN as well. Outside BMUN, I also work on data analysis and visualization for non-profits. Before moving here, I lived in Dalian, China for around 10 years. My hobbies are baking cookies and learning the guitar.

I look forward to getting to know you all at office hours or at the conference!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to offer some additional guidance on your position papers. As a reminder, CSC will be using standard Position Paper format. Besides the general format, we wanted to offer some tips on the research process and the formation of your paper.  Research The biggest favor you can do for yourself in the writing process is to really apply time and effort into understanding the topics beforehand. Luckily, your generous dais has written to key to beginning this process: your synopsis! Not only do we recommend reading this synopsis, but we hope that you will interact with it. Ask questions, make connections, reflect on what you learned. Familiarizing yourself with the synopsis is the key to a smooth research experience.  After reading the synopsis, don’t stop there!   Welcome Delegates! We are excited to have you all for BMUN LXXII and the Chinese State Council (CSC) committee. The CSC committee page can be found here . We hope that you take the appropriate time to read and review all of the topic synopses and background guides to be able to make most out of your time during committee.  This blog will act as our committee’s more informal avenue for discussion and communication before the conference — and we’d love to see you interact with it! The purpose of this blog is to (1) allow you to actively engage with the content of this committee and (2) give you all the opportunity to learn about other delegates' policies before the debate actually starts. Office Hours

Hello Delegates! Our dais will be hosting office hours on Monday & Wednesday during the week of conference on Monday, 3/4 from 9-11PM and Wednesday 3/6 from 10-11PM!
